Rhinoceros Success

Such a fun book, but with a serious message – you’ve just got to read Rhinoceros Success.

This book was given to me by my friend Ross, boss of Horsham Decks Patios (and of course I took the opportunity to ask him to sponsor my website!)

Ross has been an inspiration to me, so when we were chatting one day I asked him his secret. That’s when he told me about Rhinoceros Success.

I wasn’t sure whether to take him seriously at first, but he gave me this little book and it inspired me too!

You can get a taste of what it’s like from the cover illustration and the whole book is full of silly pictures rhinoceroses and other animals doing daft things.

I don’t want to give too much away because it’s a very short book and I really believe you’ll benefit from reading it for yourself. But I don’t think it’ll spoil anything to explain the premise running through.

Scott Alexander implores us to treat life like a rhinoceros. That means charging through life, making the most of every opportunity. Don’t be like the cows in the field, just letting life pass them by, but seize every opportunity and run with it.

That’s the gist of the book but of course I can’t hope to do it justice. Just grab a copy and read it. I’m sure it will amuse you and you’ll get the urge to do more with your life.

It’s a book that gives a headline then half a page (in big print) that explains more. Other books on the same subject would have a whole chapter, but Alexander likes to be brief. But his points come across and the hilarious illustrations help no end.

Well worth a read. It won’t break the bank and it won’t take you days to read, but I think you’ll remember this one.
